Short term health insurance plans are obviously a reputable way to protect your health and finances for a limited period of time. But what about life insurance?
A short term life insurance plan is basically an oxymoron. Insurers don’t want to sell you a plan that effectively assumes that they will have to pay out in a very short period of time; if you aren’t expecting to, why would you buy a policy that lasts less than a year? Besides, suicide or other intentional death is excluded from these policies.
Most term life insurance is not available for a period of time shorter than five years. When looking for short term coverage for yourself, stick to temporary health insurance.
