Elmo has decided to join public service announcements reminding kids what their parents should be teaching them. Basic sanitation is the name of this game, get it right and win a prize? All this to protect against H1N1, we dont call it the flu anymore, the media likes the fancy acronimic names better. Don’t they teach this stuff to kids in grade school? Don’t parents teach this stuff to kids while they are growing up? It’s alarming how often some children need to be reminded about life basics. I guess they need it now since none of them know what H1N1 could possible mean?

It makes me wonder where our society is going. I am sure gimmicks like these have existed before, but why is it that we have the need to fill our kids brains with entertainment to get any message across. It saddens me to see the degeeneration of mind caused by cartoon characters, especialyl now a days where neer a moment goes by without a loud scream, thud or crash.

When you are at the gym consider asking workers there if you are using the proper form on their equipment. Most of the time people are using exericse equipment either incorrectly or improperly. Alot of times you can defeat the intent and purpose of the machine either due tolack of experience or sometimes laziness. This is where the gym staff or even a personal trainer comes in handy. Doing the exercises the right way cuts down on time spent, increases results and reduces the risk of injury.

Consider health insurance the same way. You can go online and shop around  but until you speak to an actual agent you wont know exactly what your needs are. There is so much terminology and so many different plans and options that an Agent can act as a Personal Trainer for Health Insurance. They already have the experience and knowledge to get you through the tough spots and keep you upright. They can even help prevent you from Financial injury!!!

Consider one of our Agents at VitalOne Health. You can contact them via Twitter, our Website: http://www.vitalonehealth.com or our phone number 1-866-488-5200. We will get you on the right track toward stabilizing your vital health insurance.

Swine Flu first emerged in April of this year. It has killed about 500 American’s and globally about 2,000. A white house report from an expert panel suggest that from 30 percent to half the population could catch swine flu during the course of this pandemic and that from 30,000 to 90,000 could die. Swine flu is more of a threat to certain groups-children under 2, pregnant women, and people with problems such as asthma, diabetes, and heart disease.

Don’t worry, but make sure your prepared. Here are some tips on making it through flu season.

Don’t panic, swine flu is not much more threatening than regular flu season.

Wash your hands often! The flu spreads through coughs and sneezes of people who are sick. Wash your hands with soap and water and use hand sanitizers.

Get your shots early! Check with your doctor or local department about where to get your shots.

If an outbreak of swine flu hits your area before you’re vaccinated, be extra careful. Stay away from large places like malls, sport events and even churches.

CNN Reports about how easy it was for one man to sell his Kidney for $20,000. Although it seems tempting, there are various reprecussion to doing such a thing. For one, you only have two Kidneys! What happens when all of the sudden you begin to experience symptoms of kidney failure?

It is also against Federal law to sell live organs. Don’t do it, if you are caught it will go on your records as a federal offense! This is a permanent thing that will follow you throughout your life.

Transplant hospitals do everything they can to make sure transplants are legal and donations only. Be wary if you are planning on doing this.

Overall it is not a good idea to sell your organs. I can imagine there is an entire underground network for such a thing. Just think of what it would do to your Health Insurance rates! Most likely no carrier would pick you up after a donation with a scandal behind it. It also labels you as increased risk to insure.

Pre-existing conditions are something every individual should worry about when applying for health insurance. It can be the difference between being accepted or denied, having a high or low premium and the amount of deductible charged. Health Insurance companies go to great lengths to find these conditions, making sure no one lie don their application, or sometimes to find a reason to cancel a policy when a condition is found that could have been linked to something in the past.

Could social media cause a problem in the near future? Employers are already researching peoples profiles on Facebook and Myspace to gain insight into their lives, as most post whatever they want freely thinking that there are no repercussions. Imagine if Health Insurers decided to do the same.

What if one day you decided to complain about a stomach illness, or ongoing medical condition that you hadn’t even visited a doctor for. What if one day a person was in a depressed mood and decided to post how much they disliked life, or how badly they felt, etc? Is it right and fair for a Health Insurance comapny to decide on  policy and benefits based on that information? Is it even possible?

To my knowledge this has not yet occurred, however, it is a dangerous possibility. People should be careful what they post online; let it be neutral, you never know who is watching.

Fighting for food, water and shelter are the basic reasons why people work. The next is for things such as healthcare, insurances, transporation, etc. Afterwards are luxuries and the augmentation of the first two sets of things people fight for. The circle goes on and on and the wealth trickles further down as we modify our lives based upon the wealth we have gathered.

Debt does us no good, free rides do us no good either. Debt, in a way, is like a free ride. Most people are not taking responsibility for the debt they have and live day by day without paying a dime. Some of course have been forced into this position, and they should be helped. Health Insurance is one of those things you fight for. Motivate yourself to stay healthy! Through the sweat of your brow and own efforts you insure the likelihood of your good health.

It makes one wonder though, even though all the opportunity in the world could be presented to someone, would it really be opportunity if they didn’t have the skill or natural aptitude to take it??? Are all men really created equal?

When did we get the idea that we are entitled to certain things as human beings, as Americans? Perhaps the constitution which grants so many rights such as free speech and the right to bear arms, is the source by which we have made our mistake.

The constitution has granted us rights to abstract concepts that can be utlilized for form action and physical results for ourselves and our fellow men and women. However, no where did it claim that physical things, such as food, shelter or healthcare are given rights. There is no precedent to this. The idea that these are given rights creates a different America, a lazy America.

As Americans we motivate ourselves by the promise of what is to be. If we have everything that we want and need, then we have nothing to strive for, to fight for or to evolve ourselves and those around us for.

Free services are wonderful until they become unreliable. Gmail for instance, has a 99% uptime but sometimes does fail as it showed today around 3:30 PM EST. Strangely, most pay services also fail, the only difference is there is something called accountability. When a free service fails the company is not bound to pay you for the reprecussions of a lack of service. Gmail can stop your service if it wants to. Imagine now that we are doing this to our Health Insurance industry.

What happens when Healthcare all the sudden goes down. Government machines or operators cannot be reached to approve payment. Websites no longer work for submitting paperwork, or doctors stop accepting patients until paperwork is resolved. We all know how long government paperwork takes to push through.

This is not a world that Americans have built. Imagine who is held accountable when the Public Health option fails to deliver. We can only hold ourselves accountable, after all the government is paying for the services, which in the end means we are paying for them out of our own pocket. Silly to sue ourselves for bad business decisions.
