Is Chemothepary the only treatment for Cancer? New studies show that alternative treatments are being used on certain cancer patients. Alternative is a term used to refer to non-traditional methods of diagnosing or treating cancer. Some cancer patients believe that the chemotherapy is “poison” to their system and would like another option. New drugs made in research labs sometimes turn out to be useless for treating cancer in humans even though doctors focus on the results of carefully conducted clinical studies. Some alternative treatments for cancer would include detoxification such as colon cleansing, fasting and water therapy.

In a related case Daniel Hauser, who fled with his mother to avoid chemotherapy is angry that he has to continue his chemotherapy. He and his family initially rejected the treatment for religious reasons, saying it harms the body. Daniel says he gets a headache and dizziness after every treatment and he still has approximately six months left of chemo. Even though his condition is improving he believes it has to due to the vitamin supplements, ionized water and organic foods he has been taking.

Is it possible that the Lifestyle changes, lowered appetite, and general concern for ones care that they adopt after chemotherapy has begun is the actual cause of recovery? If it did it would reflect that our ignorance toward out own bodies, and the way we consume food and drink could be the cause of cancer itself. It would be interesting to see studies conducted on the effects of diet and healthcare for chemotherapy patients, without having chemotherapy.

Or maybe its the attention that we get from being in such a sickly state after chemotherapy sessions. Maybe it gives people the time to think about themselves, their own mortality, and their relationships with others. Often in hard times people become closer, and as a whole grow healthier. Why do we have to resort to disasters or something like Cancer to realize the importance of our lives and those around us?

An article in Time states that calorie counts may be required to be shown in direct view of the consumer at fast food restaurants in an effort to spur a change in American Health habits. This is in part to help with the American Health Insurance and Healthcare problems. It is an effort to reduce the amount of Death, medical complications and disease caused by dietary imbalance. There are so many different meals at these fast food restaurants that have over a staggering 1000 calorie count. Many restaurants have been rushing to change this sad fact. It makes me wonder if they are doing it for the benefit of the consumer or because the consumer may start to look twice if they see high caloric food on their menu all he sudden, due to a passing law.

Notice KFC now has Kentucky Grilled Chicken. This is a most healthy alternative to the grease ridden friend chicken they have been serving for years! All of the sudden grilled chicken is being promoted and sold. Also, Remember when Kentucky Friend Chicken changed its name to KFC? This was done because of the bad rap fried foods received recently, making them sound less and less tempting. Branding and psychology is so interesting, its almost as if advertisers feel that people buy fried or fatty food based on its label…that’s not true is it?

In reality, there is a secret, more diabolical agenda. The calorie labels are not for the consumer at all, they are for the marketers, advertisers and businessmen. They are for those who worry at every single details, comparing it with consumers psychology, and projecting % increase and decrease of sales based on these assumptions. They are to trick these people into forcing their stores into producing healthier, less fatty foods. It is ingenious. It is amazing how exposure can make companies do an almost complete about face.

It can’t get any stranger than stores selling primarily all fried chicken products start selling grilled. But this strangeness is great. It will help the American Consumer overall, by creating a healthy and tasty alternative to the garbage that has been being fed to us with “Nutrition” values hidden from sight. When people realize there is no nutrition behind those nutrition values, they are going to wonder what, indeed, have they been feeding us the last half century? More importantly…what have we been feeding ourselves? And why?!

The New York Times reports his tidbit about Health Insurance Benefits for Federal employees. It seems that their partners may now be eligible for insurance coverage. This is a interesting way to circumvent issues that have come up as of the last election, especially the ban on Gay marriage. I say, good for Obama. I don’t think anyone should be denied benefits when they fulfill a role as life partner.

This youtube video shows great funny reasons to exercise. There is always a reason to exercise. A sedentary life is a life less lived. So many people don’t even have a choice to move around due to physical and mental conditions, why give yours up?

As the video shows exercise can be great for depression, your skin, even suicidal thoughts! Imagine that…mood states being altered by exercise. If mood can be changed by physical activity (which releases chemicals into the brain) it makes me wonder why it is we are so concerned with maintaining our personalities.

If your personality is malleable based on situation and recommendation, then isnt our personality a choice (and not part of us?) Any thoughts?

An interesting study shows that annihilating cancer cells may not be the best way to treat cancer. Annihilating cells is a brute force approach to treatment, and as well all know, brute force is no longer being the preferred action type for human beings. Compassion, caring, and maintenance is becoming the ideal. This seems to be becoming true with Cancer treatments. Instead of destroying the cells, it may be possible to maintain their growth so that they do not spread or cause complications throughout the rest of the body. Keeping a cancer growth in check when necessary is far more kind than harsh chemotherapy. It also keeps the cancer cells from becoming more resistant over time as they are continuously pummed by radiation.

This is an interesting alternative to consider, it actually seems more intuitive than destroying the cells, which is opposite of what the article write.

Although I do agree that Government-sponsored health insurance options are not good for competition and the free market, attacking them through PR campaigns is not really a noble way of going about things. I have heard so many different stories about Obama promising something, or Health Insurance Industry promising something, then going back on their word.

It would seem wise to get the facts straight before presenting all this misinformation. Keeping consumers confused does not help the industry, just makes consumers more wary and worried and more likely to go without health insurance.

Dealing with an industry that appears manic depressive is not good for our economy or our culture.

According to he LA Times. Laser printers may do as much damage if not more than cigarette smoke! It seems some laser printer models, not all, emit microscopic particles that when inhaled can wreak havoc on the system. Imagine all of those offices with hundreds of laser printers and people packed into tight cubicles. Maybe this is why we see such a dramatic increase in cancer reporting. Scary stuff. Almost as scary as the inkling that I have that 3G cellular phones emit a dangerously high amount of electromagnetic radiation, enough to damage body cells.

My wife works at a hospital. She is appalled at times due to staffing situations created by administrators who don’t understand the nurses role. There have been policies made that cripple the time a nurse has, and needs to give out care. At times there is no secretary on the floor, and at one point only one nurse running the phones and whole floor only to get 6 admissions that night!

Imagine…all this to save money. Supposedly the economy has hit our hospitals hard . This is such a shame because we are now putting people at risk to save a buck…even if you have insurance!

Overwhelmed nurses with little to no assistance cannot run their floors efficiently and safely. I agree with the author of the previously posted blog, where is all the money going?

We need something to be done, but we also need health insurance now, health insurance agents are the only ones crazy enough to be able to work through this system so give one a call.

When you shop for health insurance be sure to ask your licensed health insurance agent as many questions as possible about the providers being recommended or chosen. You don’t want to end up like this poor woman who went through an absolutely terrible experience with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas.

Stories like this make the Health Insurance Industry look bad, when the reality is the majority of the time your Health Insurance is there to help you. It is true that administrative errors do occur from time to time, but this is not unique to just the Health Insurance Industry. However, some research and analysis into issues found with different companies in your specific state (as they are all managed differently by different people) can help you make a sound decision for your demographic area and healthcare needs. Knowledge is power, keep yourself informed before making any quick decisions.
