With respect to our healthcare there are usual and normal occurring needs such as doctor visits, diagnostic needs, periodic examinations, etc. These are things that we know we need, that are routine in nature and that help keep us healthy or catch illnesses more timely.

In addition, if we exercise, eat right, and take care of ourselves, our chances of staying healthy improve.

Yet, there are many things that no matter what we do, we can’t control and are expensive. Accidents, catastrophic illnesses, etc.

The goal is to manage as much as we can ourselves and leave the rest for insurance to take on the risk. In this manner, we can keep costs low and coverage quality high.

It really should be a partnership, that is our healthcare needs should be spread between what we can do for oursleves and what we pass on to the health insurance carriers.

It seems that we tend to want health insurance only when we need it. Imagine driving your car and getting into an accident. Then, at that time is when you would apply for auto insurance. What a beautiful and silly world.

Insurance by its very nature brings into play the spreading of risk amongst a large pool of people. The large group, through its insurance premium contributions insures the ones who need it.  In this manner we all take care of each other.

Health insurance is not something you get only when you get in an accident, therefore we all need it at all times. We all need to contribute our part towards each other.

We still want to choose the carrier and type of coverage as good consumers should, but we all need to have it.

Now, I understand affordability and in the hierarchy of needs, yes, food and shelter come first. I know, I know, but think of this. If we all contributed through health insurance premiums, our overall costs would come down. Health insurance would be more affordable. Even then, to the ones who couldn’t still afford health insurance, our government needs to be there.

Yes, we can do better.

In the beginning healthcare wasn’t free, today healthcare is not free, and in the future healthcare will not be free. We all need to contribute. The healthy cannot forget the sick.  Insurance is the only way through the private sector to spread the risk amongst all of us.

Yes, I know, I said ONE thing to remember, but pay attention because what I am stating may be more than ONE THING, but it is the concept that we all need health insurance. Here is to your health and to your families health, but please do get covered.

Thanks

An agent’s agent is an individual that understands the products and services in detail that a carrier offers; an agent that understands you, the agent, and how tough your job I; an agent that really truly cares and helps you with your business. Health insurance is not just health insurance; it is a valid, needed, and important service. There are so many different carriers, state regulations, mandates, and a whole lot more.
In the old days, your local general agent or GA, as it is better known, would provide agents with a meeting place, administrative assistance, and yes, of course, coffee. Well, they’re still around today, but not as prominent due to the emergence of the internet. This has changed things. Agents are looking to still provide the same old service and do it just as good, they just have to adapt to their internet clients, which are now obviously online and demand speed and service at the same time.
So how do agents today get assistance from their carriers and local general agents? This has changed too. Today, agents are looking for online tools and services from their general agents; Services that go beyond just coffee.
It is with this in mind that I just share with you that I have run into an excellent general agent, an agent’s agent, in Mr. Gary Karns. He not only knowledgeable in products on a per state basis, carrier requirements, and metrics, but also he will motivate and assist you in how to expand your sales. He is a motivational mastermind who will truly help you reach your potential. I recommend you contact him immediately and tell him I sent you at 1-800-466-2794.
Don’t do me a favor, do yourself one and call.

When you’re looking for health insurance make an effort to seek out assistance from independent health insurance agents. The reason is fairly simple, if your agent is independent and not tied contractually to just one carrier, then they can really better represent you and your needs and not just the carriers’ needs.

You see; an agent that only represents one company, one carrier, will only represent that carrier’s products and plans. They will not be able to advise you correctly and weigh in all other insurance carriers and their different insurance products and benefits.

Remember this: carriers will vary in their underwriting criteria. This is important because you do not want to submit an application for health insurance and have that carrier reject you. You do not want to be rejected because this designation now raises red flags to other carriers and makes it more difficult to get accepted by another carrier. In many cases other carriers simply don’t accept rejected applicants.

Therefore, it is important to properly understand each carrier’s underwriting criteria and how they work.
Some health insurance companies will argue that their health insurance products are the best and that they only hire captive agents and so one and so forth.

Let consumers decide if your company is the best fit for them. Your insurance company is making it hard for the consumer to shop around because if they want to compare they have to go through more than one agent. Also, it is reasonable to expect that the health insurance agent working for your insurance company only will push your product that much harder. It is better when agents are independent and really assist consumers in finding the best carrier for them.

In this large, complicated, and difficult healthcare maze, when looking for affordable quality health insurance that fits your needs., it is very important to have an insurance agent that you trust. It may actually be more important than specific health insurance company’s. An agent that you can trust will truly help you identify the best coverage for you, period.

Since all health insurance products are heavily regulated by each state’s insurance department, all health insurance products and prices and rates are the same for each specific product. Regardless, of the agent, rates and prices are fixed by law.

Therefore, one agent cannot offer you a different rate and/or price for the same exact product that another agent will offer you for a particular carrier.

As a result, what is most important when searching for help in attaining good quality, affordable health insurance, is an agent that you can trust.

A good agent will look at your specific needs, overall health conditions, and what you can afford to try and match to health insurance carriers on a state level and on a national basis.

It is better when one agent can qualify each individual across a large portfolio of local and national health insurance carriers and products as opposed to an agent that only represents one carrier and/or one product.

An agent will take into account co-pays, doctor visits, specialists, networks available, catastrophic care, exclusions, riders, rating, and overall financial strength of the carriers to better fit your needs.

Remember, each health insurance carrier wants to promote and sell only their products, but a good health insurance agent will always represent you first, regardless of the health insurance carrier.

Who cares; when deciding whether to purchase a certain health insurance product or not. Buy health insurance because of the insurance carrier and what it covers catastrophically first. This is the reason why you need health insurance in the first place.

Your doctor may or may not be in the network, but whether its thru a co-pay or discounted price you might continue to see your doctor anyway. It is really not that important in the overall scope.

Does your health insurance cover specific illnesses that you may worried about? Does it cover most other major illnesses as well?

Forget being focused on whether doctor visits are covered or not.

Specifically, amongst others, is a plan being promoted by the Commonwealth Fund, which envisions a partnership between government sponsored health plans and private insurers.

They would work in combination to offer consumers more choices, but the plan requires that consumers purchase and/or attain healthcare coverage.

They mention that their plan design would reduce the growth at which healthcare costs are rising from year to year.

Whether accurate or not, I don’t know, especially since the results from the State of Massachusetts are not in.

On the surface though, a combination plan offering between government and private groups seem to make sense in the sense that it appears to promote competition.

The plan also wants to reward efficiencies and penalize waste. This also makes sense on the surface, but the question is how effective would it be?

Look, it appears that we are beyond just repeating that we need a better system and are now prepared to begin to do something about it.

Remember one thing though, our healthcare services professionals are tops. Our commitment to excellence and competition place us higher than all other countries.

We need health insurance for all. We need affordable health insurance for all.

What does this really mean?

If we live in a society that gives us freedom and opportunities to prosper personally and financially, this same society should incorporate a model to allow for its citizens to be able to receive shelter, food, healthcare, and other basic necessities.

This is as much a right as it is a responsibility on a personal level and this is as much a right as it is a responsibility on a government level.

The delicate balance of government and private enterprise in order to accomplish this is paramount in its ultimate success.

Every American needs to be able to receive healthcare. Yet, healthcare is not free. I think this needs to be repeated for the hardcore liberals. Healthcare is not free and it is not just a right, it is a responsibility to ourselves and to our citizens. Also, healthcare is not only a capitalist endeavor. I think this needs to be repeated for hardcore capitalists.

We need a balance of government and private enterprise whereby private enterprises can focusing by competing and providing better services.

Health insurance is needed for our own protection and for all of our citizens.

Carriers need to improve rates and access for everyone and one big way to bring costs down is for everyone to share the risk.

When shopping for a complicated product or service, we rely on individuals for their expertise and advice. If their knowledge of the product or service is weak, or they are not entirely forthcoming with information that we may consider important, we may purchase the wrong product or service. This can be costly financially or personally.

As such, trust in an individual or a company is important. Their reputation should speak for themselves more than they should.

It is expected by some futurists that in the next few decades, health insurance and health insurance costs will account for more than 50% of our economic output. Granted, we are also expected to live better, longer and healthier. Yet, it is obvious how important of a role a health insurance agent will play then.

It is not too different today, when we are approaching health insurance costs that account for 20% of our economic output.

Therefore, it is paramount that we as individuals or heads of households have access to reliable, intelligent and experienced health insurance agents that have our best interests in mind as opposed to their pockets.

Trust with your health insurance agent is extremely important today. There are so many carriers, plan offerings, and plan types that it is almost impossible to be able to decipher alone what is best for you.

What co-pay, deductible, co-insurance, exclusions, riders, maximums are right for you?

Only an agent that you can trust can help you answer that question.

Trust a competent and honest agent not just a friendly good sales person.
