Those health care expenses included premiums, deductibles, co-payments, and prescription costs. Surprisingly, 80% of those families had health insurance. Another 1.5 million residents spend between 10 and 25% of their total income on health care expenses. According to FamiliesUSA, people in the U. S. should not have to spend more than 10%. |
