However, she has decided to spend the last of her time working to bring about change in the country's health care system by talking to hopeful presidential candidates when they campaigned in Iowa.Fifty-six year old Stangl was diagnosed with lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM) which affects about 250,000 women. This year she has attended nearly 70 different campaign events and wants to speak to candidates about how they can make a difference to medical insurance in the United States.
